Three arrested for disturbance at The Local

NAHUNTA — Three people were arrested Thursday night after the Nahunta Police Department responded in reference to an altercation involving multiple individuals at The Local.

Detective Corporal Larry Champion was dispatched to 13299 Cleveland Street (The Local) at approximately 11:07 p.m., May 14.

Det. Corp. Champion conducted an investigation into the incident and gathered witness statements from individuals at the scene.

scene. As a result of the investigation, three individuals were placed under arrest.

Arrested and charged following the May 14 incident were Jeffrey Robert Moody, 57, of Hortense, Julie Lynn Moody, 42, of Hortense, and Shiane Taylor Sigler, 29, of Nahunta.

The Moodys were charged with Affray (a criminal offense involving a violent, noisy fight between two or more people in a public place that disturbs the peace and terrifies or alarms bystanders).

Sigler was charged with Disorderly Conduct. All three individuals were transported to the Brantley County Jail and released to corrections personnel for booking procedures.

Each was released after posting $1,000 bonds.

The incident remains under investigation by the Nahunta Police Department.
