Blackstock
WAYCROSS — Marion Rigdon Blackstock, 98 of Waycross, died Tuesday evening, May 12, 2026 at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.
Mrs. Blackstock was born in Waycross to the late William Rigdon and Mildred Waters Rigdon and made Waycross her home for most of her life. She worked as an LPN for many years and retired from Dr. Farris & Brown’s office. She was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Blackstock is preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Blackstock, Sr.; and four siblings, Mavis Broach, Gene Rigdon, Burt Rigdon and Charles Rigdon.
Mrs. Blackstock is survived by her two sons, Roy D. Blackstock, Jr. and wife Beth of Waynesville and Dan Blackstock of Waynesville; four grandchildren, Mandy Noland, Zachary Blackstock, Christopher Blackstock Aaron Blackstock; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service was held Saturday morning, May 16, 2026 in Oakland Cemetery.
