SGRC Council to meet May 28
A meeting of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28. The meeting will be held at the SGRC, 1937 Carlton Adams Drive, Valdosta.
An executive committee meeting will be held prior to the regular meeting at 10 a.m. Both meetings are open to the public
Youth fishing derby in Folkston, June 6 Friends of Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is hosting its 7th Annual Youth Fishing Derby from 8-11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6. The purpose of this derby is to provide an opportunity for everyone to enjoy a fun, outdoor recreational activity. The event is free and will be held at Folkston Elementary School Lake located behind Folkston Elementary School at 285 Little Phoebe Road, Folkston, 31537.
Concessions including snow cones and hot dogs will be available from the Chill Zone.
