Collins cancels Ware meet-greet Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Collins has cancelled a meet-andgreet scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7 at Hog ā€˜n’ Bones, Ware Republican Party Chair Debra Giddens said Monday.

Collins will instead be in Brantley County to meet with firefighters, first responders and command staff battling the Highway 82 wildfire.

Elections board meets May 12 The Ware County Board of Electrions and Registration holds its open monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12 in the Ware County Administration Building, 305 Oak Street.

Vets info forum to be held May 8 Amvets Post 1857 holds a Veterans Information Forum from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, May 8 at the NFC Gym, 705 College Avenue, Blackshear.

A variety of topics will be addressed, including surviving spouse benefits, secondary conditions that increase VA Disability rating, VA plus Medicare coordination, VA Community Care eligibility, and protecting disability rating from future changes.

Ware school board meets May 11-12 The Ware County Board of Education holds its regular monthly meetings at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, May 11-12 at the board office, 1301 Bailey Street.
