The Waycross Police Department is accepting applications for this summer’s Junior Police Academy.
The program will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 8-12. The program is free for youths ages 8-13 with lunch provided daily.
Applications are available in the front lobby of the police department, 512 Oak Street.
Deadline to register is May 31.
The program attracted nearly 90 participants last year.
The academy is designed to teach participants about police work while having fun.
The program ends with a “graduation” for all participants and family followed by a cookout.
