The Blackshear High School Class of 1964 held their 62nd year class reunion recently at the Lakeview Golf Course. There were 26 members of the class and their partners attending. The room was decorated with the school colors of black and gold with a large picture of a Tiger, representing the school mascot.
Pictures of deceased classmates were displayed along with their class picture and a photo from the class trip.
A great time was had by all, renewing old friendships and remembering many years of being together.
The class extended special thanks to all who helped in getting everything organized, especially Mike Williamson, who did an excellent job of keeping everything in order and running smoothly.
In addition to the Saturday reunion, many classmates also got together to enjoy a barbeque lunch on Friday at Smokehouse 84 Restaurant.
“We are looking forward to next year,” said a class spokesman.
