Commercial fraud WB&T forum focus Waycross Bank & Trust will hold a “Lunch & Learn” session on commercial fraud at noon Wednesday, May 6 at Okefenokee Country Club.
The free forum with lunch provided is geared toward helping local businesses spot and fight digital fraud. Topics will include ACH activity, wire fraud, and online security.

Meet-greet for D-3 Ware candidates
Ware County Commission candidates from District 3 will appear at a meet-and-greet from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 2 at Emerson Park Community Center.
Candidates Jonathan Daniell, Raylan Guy, both Republicans, will speak and take questions during the afternoon. The candidacy of incumbent Timmy Lucas remains in question following disqualification in a hearing April 16 by the Ware County Board of Elections and Registration related to his filing fee.
Lucas had until April 27 to appeal the ruling to the Ware Superior Court.
Collins visits May 7 for a meet-greet Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Collins will be in Waycross at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 7, for a meet-and-greet at Hog ‘n’ Bones, 1900 Memorial Drive.
Collins, who currently represents Georgia 10th District in the House of Representatives is seeking the party’s nomination in the General Primary May 19. Others in the Republican race are First District Congressman Buddy Carter and Derek Dooley, son of famed Georgia football coach and Athletics Director Vince Dooley.
The winner would challenge incumbent Sen. Jon Ossoff in November.
MSH honors April’s Donate Life month Memorial Satilla Health will close Donate Life month with a tree planting and flag ceremony at the hospital’s main entrance at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 29).
One person is added to the waiting list for an organ every nine minutes. More than 3,000 Georgians and 100,000 people across the country are waiting for lifesaving organ transplants.
The observance endeavored to raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation, and to honor those who gave the gift of life.

Commissioners set Town Hall Waycross City Commissioners William Simmons (District 2) and Alvin Nelson (District 5) will hold a joint Town Hall meeting, at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 29) at The Stephens Venue, 773 Ossie Davis Parkway.
The commissioners will discuss issues related to the city and districts.
