JESUP — Ware County High School’s Lady Gators and Gators will each send four individuals and four relay teams to the Sectional A track meet after competing here in the two-day Region 1-AAAA track meet.
The top four finishers in each event earned berths to the Saturday, May 2 Sectional at Mundy’s Mill High School in Ellenwood. Also participating will be representatives from Regions 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Qualifying for the Lady Gators were Nadya Ellis in both the 100-meter hurdles and 300m hurdles, Faith Williams in the 3,200m, Shakira Lane in the high jump and Tania Garrison in the shot put.
The Lady Gators will be represented in all four relay events consisting of the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m and 4x800m.
The four individuals for the Gators include region high jump champion Adarius Brown, Davion Jones in the high jump, Jawaun Leblank in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles and Cameron King in the triple jump.
The Gators also qualified all four relay teams for the 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m and 4x800m events.
