Bristol man charged in theft of two semi-trailers

A Bristol man has been arrested for the theft of two semi-trailers.

Sean Howard, 38, of Bristol, was charged with two counts of felony theft by taking in connection with the case.

Blackshear Police Chief Chris Wright said Blackshear Police Department began investigating the theft of two semitrailers from Cal-Maine Foods earlier this month. The trailers were valued at approximately $60,000.

During the investigation, detectives developed probable cause indicating that Howard unlawfully took the trailers. One trailer was sold and subsequently salvaged, while the other was recovered.

Howard was arrested Thursday, April 23 during a traffic stop and subsequently booked into the Pierce County Jail.

This case remains under investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Blackshear Police Department at (912) 449-7011 or submit a tip through the Blackshear Police Department mobile app
