Expectant mothers who feel they have no hope, require help and need various resources are being assisted by the dedicated volunteers of Southeast Georgia Women’s Center, according to well-known retired Pierce County teacher and renown baker Rhonda Sauls. Sauls spoke at the monthly meeting of Waycross Aglow Lighthouse at Our Beloved Church on Osceola Avenue.

The audience of ladies and gentlemen applauded the helpful efforts of Mrs. Sauls and other volunteers who give of their time to “help women experiencing unexpected pregnancies.’’ The speaker described the many services available located at the center 2007 Tebeau Street in Waycross. The many services range from free pregnancy testing, counseling, parenting , baby’s material needs, medical and treatment assistance.

According to Sauls, “The center is a nonprofit ministry with all of our income coming from fundraising events, individual donors, churches and businesses who partner with us by giving financially. Your generous support will change the lives of the women/families in the counties we serve. Your gifts help women in an unplanned pregnancy and alter the direction of a child’s life forever.’’

“Our goal is to demonstrate Christ in every encounter we have. Our services provide us with the opportunity to offer the truth of the sanctity of human life and the hope found in a relationship with Jesus Christ,” Sauls emphasized. “One of our distinctions is that we care for each woman’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. We serve the counties of Ware, Pierce, Bacon, Clinch and Brantley. Also offered are the baby’s material needs.”

Those wanting to help are invited to address donations to SEGA Women’s Center, P. O. Box 303 Blackshear, GA 31516 President Rosalind Eskew thanked Sauls and applauded her efforts as well as other center volunteers’ dedicated work. “We appreciate Rhonda and those willing to assist women facing difficult decisions in the birth and care of their babies.’’
