AmVets to host info session May 8 AmVets Post 1857, in cooperation with the city governments of Offerman, Patterson and Blackshear, will host a veterans info session 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, May 8. Topics covered will include VA and Medicare coordination, surviving spouse benefits, secondary conditions which increase VA disability ratings and other topics. The event will take place in the NFC gym, located at 705 College Avenue in Blackshear.
