Sheriff’s Office arrests two for exploitation of children
Two Blackshear men have been arrested in separate incidents of alleged sexual exploitation of children.
Jett James Markwith, 18, was arrested Tuesday, April 7, and charged with felony sexual exploitation of children.
James Arzate, 22, was arrested Thursday, April 9, and charged with felony - sexual exploitation of children.
According to Sheriff Ramsey Bennett, the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Unit received tips from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) regarding both incidents.

Lt. Jacob Winters led the investigation and information developed that led to Markwith’s arrest.
ACE Unit Sgt. Greg Nettles led the investigation and information developed that led to Arzate’s arrest.
Arzate and Markwith are currently being held in the Pierce County Jail.
