Friends remember Hadleigh

Two of Hadleigh Lee’s best friends, Eleanor Sumner and Abigail Foreman wanted to honor the memory of their friend who was tragically killed in a drunk driving accident in 2024. With help from their teachers, the girls created posters and organized a special event to honor Lee’s memory and to inform fellow fifth graders of the dangers of drunk driving and drugs. The students in attendance at the event lined up in front of the school to form the letters SLH for “Smile Like Hadleigh”, the organization founded in her honor. School Resource Officer Lt. Brad Justice, Deputy Travis Courson and Deputy Hunter Griffin spoke to the students about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Show above (l-r) are, in front: Sumner and Foreman and in back: officer Travis Courson and Brad Justice.
