Ware County High School’s Work-Based Learning program hosted a College & Career Fair earlier this month, bringing together students and representatives from across the region for a day focused on future opportunities.

Approximately 350 students attended the event, taking advantage of the opportunity to explore college pathways and career options. The fair featured around 55 various colleges, businesses, and industry partners, offering students a wide range of information on postsecondary education, workforce opportunities, and career readiness.

Throughout the event, students engaged directly with representatives, asked questions, and gathered valuable resources to help guide their decisions after graduation. The atmosphere was energetic and productive, with meaningful conversations happening at every table.

“This event is about helping our students make connections and see what’s possible for their future,” said Hannah Cochran, Work-Based Learning Coordinator at WCHS. “We’re incredibly thankful for the partners who took time out of their schedules to invest in our students.”

Added Molly Williford, Youth Apprenticeship Coordinator: “Our goal is to make sure every student leaves with a clearer vision for their future. So many of our students need opportunities like this to help bridge the gap between education and the real world.”

Plans are already are underway for another College & Career Fair this fall, continuing the school’s commitment to providing students with real-world exposure and opportunities.
