Kenneth Lamar Lee

DOUGLAS — Kenneth Lamar Lee, 87 of Douglas and formerly of Hortense, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, April 11, 2026, at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation in Douglas.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and six sisters.

Lee was born Nov ember 19, 1938, i n Nahunta to the late Sallie Chesser Lee and the late John Earl Lee. After receiving his education and graduating high school, he embarked upon a lifelong career with Brunswick Pulp and Paper mill now known as Georgia Pacific, where he worked in the maintenance department.

In the early 1960s, Lee met a beautiful young lady, June Faye Sloan, and the two began their lifelong journey together. They celebrated 63 years of marriage.

He was a member of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, June Faye Sloan Lee of Douglas,; a son and daughter-in-law, Lamar Lee and wife Kim of Baxley; a daughter and sonin- law, Cheree Lee McEachern and husband Matthew of Douglas; five grandchildren, Kaylie Harper and husband Jordan, Leeia Fields and husband Taylor, Landon Lee and wife Katie, Lacey Griffis and husband Braden, and Logan Lee; three great grandchildren, Ameila Harper, Rylee Kate and Taya Fields; a sister, Sandra Lee Dixon of Waycross; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family friends.

A funeral service was held Monday, April 13, 2026, in the sanctuary of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Lamar Lee, Pastor Matthew McEachern, and Pastor Landon Lee officiating.

Burial was in the Hortense Cemetery, off Ballfield Road in Hortense with Rusty Lee, Marty Lee, Everett Lee, Braden Griffis, Joseph Dixon, Ricky Lee, David Lake and Jordan Harper serving as pallbearers.
