Pittman and White arrest comes after investigation of stolen $$

A Hoboken woman and a Waycross woman were arrested on theft charges after they allegedly stole money from a local business.

Kathy White, 62, of Hoboken and Felicia Pittman, 55, of Waycross, were arrested last week in connection with the theft according to Sheriff Ramsey Bennett.

Pittman has been charged with felony theft by taking, financial transaction card fraud and criminal solicitation, while White has been charged with felony theft by taking.

The thefts at the business were first reported in January and an investigation has been underway since that time. The investigation led to the arrest of White and Pittman.

Bennett declined additional comment citing the ongoing investigation.

Reports indicate the case involves the theft of a significant amount of money from a business on U.S. Highway 84 in Blackshear. The women were apparently employees of the company.

Pittman is currently being held in the Pierce County Jail. White has been released on bond.
