Theresa Alonso is the new assistant principal at Midway Elementary School. Alonso was hired for the position amid a flurry of personnel decisions during a called meeting of the school board Monday morning, March 23.
The decision came following a 27 minute closed session to discuss personnel.

Alonso will fill the assistant principal’s position vacated by Dr. Cole Walsh who was named principal at MES last month. Walsh succeeded Dr. Brandi Todd, who was appointed principal of Pierce County High School in February.

Alonso’s husband, Juan, teaches seventh grade math at PCMS and is assistant varsity baseball coach at the high school.
