Ronda Sauls, volunteer with the Southeast Georgia Women’s Center and a retired educator, will be the guest speaker for the Aglow Lighthouse meeting Saturday, April 11.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. and will be held in the sanctuary of Our Beloved Church, 1700 Osceola Avenue, Waycross.

“One of the core ministries of Aglow International is to “Love Your Neighbor” and Waycross Aglow Lighthouse is desiring to learn about the ministries in this community that are reaching out to help those who are in special need around us,” said Rosalind Eskew of Aglow. “Mrs. Ronda Sauls, a volunteer at Southeast Georgia Women’s Center on Tebeau Street, Waycross, will be special guest speaker.”

The Women’s Center is a Christcentered pregnancy resource center that provides help, hope and a future to local women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. Some of the services offered are pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, sexually transmitted disease testing, adoption resources, abortion recovery support, parenting and Bible study classes. By taking classes, clients earn points to shop for baby items. The staff and volunteers share HOPE by meeting clients where they are and providing emotional and spiritual support plus their material baby needs. (This center is now in need of baby wipes if you would like to bring some to the meeting.)

Sauls is married and has two children and five grandchildren. She and her husband are active members of Bridge Church in Blackshear. She is also a retired teacher from Pierce County Schools. “We welcome men and women to join us,” said Eskew.
