Physicians traded in their scrubs for aprons and demonstrated their culinary skills in front of a live audience.
Dr. Eduardo Venegas, interventional cardiologist with Memorial Satilla Specialists – Heart Care, was named Top Doctor Chef.
Additional competitors included Dr. Vereen Chithriki, OB/GYN with Memorial Satilla Specialists – Women’s Health, and Dr. Kimberly Mathurin, family medicine resident.
The other two community leaders selected to serve on the judges panel included Anne Barksdale, Board Chair of the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce and Phillip Jordan, Wellness Director at the YMCA of Waycross.
“Doctor Chef is a wonderful example of how we can connect with our community and our staff in meaningful and engaging ways,” said CEO Damon Barrett. “Events like this allow our physicians to share a different side of themselves while strengthening relationships with the people we are proud to serve every day.”
