Waters family enjoys food, freedom and Easter

Easter is a time of faith, family, fellowship and fun and the Waters family observed all those things this weekend - as they have for the past 60 years.

Descendants of James Woodrow and Madge Waters gathered to pay tribute to their uncle, Bennett 'Hubert' Waters, during his funeral service Saturday morning. Following the service, the family then came together to celebrate faith in a risen Savior with a gathering at the home of Jim and Jerrian Waters and later for fun and fellowship at the home of Laura Waters Anderson.

'We have been doing this since I was young and I feel like it is important to keep it going,' said Anderson.

Family members enjoyed a low-country boil and barbeque with the trimmings. Afterwards, youngsters gathered for an egg hunt and for water slide fun.
