From Waycross to medical school —and back again. Dr. Mary Catherine Stewart, a third-year Family Medicine resident and Waycross native, will be joining Coastal Health (formerly Blackshear Family Practice) full-time this August after graduating in June. She was the guest speaker at last week’s Blackshear Rotary Club meeting. With a passion for preventive care, plans to pursue lactation certification and a heart for hospice and palliative care, Stewart is dedicated to building a life and career right here in the community she loves along with her husband, Sam.
