Wheelchair sought for disabled man Peter Feed My Sheep outreach ministry is seeking the donation of a wheelchair or funds to purchase one for a disabled senior citizen living on his own.
Organization operator Marilyn Joyner said the man’s current wheelchair no longer is operational. A motorized version would be ideal, since it would allow him total independence to cover longer distances, to get food and medication, she said.
However, a traditional one will work in the short term, in order to maintain a measure of independence, she said.
Anyone with a chair, or funds to donate toward a motorized version, may contact Joyner at (912) 614-3724. Donations can be mailed to 613 Sweat Street, Waycross, 31501 with the designation “wheelchair.”
The ministry also accepts the Cash App, $peterfeed mysheep.
