Candidate forum in Brantley County There will be a public forum at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 25 in the BCHS gym for candidates seeking the District 4 and 5 seats on the Brantley County Commission.

The event, sponsored by Satilla Riverkeeper, Federation of Women and Gap House Ministry, seeks to bring together all candidates seeking those offices to make statements and take questions from the audience.

Legion Post 517 meets April 15

American Legion John S. Sutton Post 517 holds a general membership meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 in the post ballroom, 710 Dorothy Street.

Fishing rodeo at rec. dept. April 18 The Ware County Recreation Department holds its annual Youth Fishing Rodeo from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18 at the Trembling Earth Complex, 2119 Cecil Brown Drive.

Youth ages 4-13 are eligible to participate in the free event. Check-in is at 9 a.m.

There will be prizes for the top three participants in the “keep-what-youcatch” competition. Call (912) 287-4488 for information.
