NAHUNTA – Juanita Ann Crews, 80 of Nahunta, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026 at her residence after an extended illness.
Mrs. Crews was born in Homerville to the late Perry Herrin and Stella Mae Pittman Herrin.
She was a cherished daughter, mother and grandmother, who loved to dance and any music that she could dance to. She was a hard worker, enjoyed reading and cared a lot about her family.
Mrs. Crews is preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Thrift; her second husband, Perry (Danny) Crews; a son, Warren Jesse “Barney” Thrift; an infant son, Arlen Thrift; and three brothers, Perry Lee, Jerry Herrin and Stanley Herrin.
Survivors include her grandson, Barret Glynn Thrift; her sister, Linda Dowling (Robert); two sisters-in-law, Lucille Herrin and Laurel Herrin; a brother-in-law, J.D. Crews (Linda); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
