Charles ‘Charlie’ Jackson Daniels

WAYNESVILLE – Charles “Charlie” Jackson Daniels, 63 of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026 at his residence.

Born in Brunswick, Daniels’ parents were Dennis James “Dinky” Daniels and Doris Mildred O’Quinn Daniels. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Aleasha Murray.

Daniels retired from Gilman. He came to know Jesus as his savior in the last year of his life. Daniels was a devout member of Palmetto Pentecostal Church.

He enjoyed spending his retirement with family and friends, telling others about Jesus, going to auctions, watching nature shows and old Westerns, drinking coffee, and planning church events to spread the Good News of Jesus.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Daniels of Waynesville; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron Daniels (Trish) of Waynesville; son-in-law, John Murray; four grandchildren, Madison Daniels (Kaylen), Hannah Hickox (Braydon), Heather Murray and Tyler Murray; greatgrandchild, Hazel Hickox, due to make her arrival any day now; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene Spradley (Lonnie); and also several nephews, nieces, other relatives and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 at 2 p.m., at Palmetto Cemetery in Waynesville with Rev. Jason Marden officiating.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
