Additional retail space will be added soon to the Piggly Wiggly Plaza in Blackshear.
Rann Tyson, the owner of both the Piggly Wiggly and of R.H. Tyson Construction, confirmed recently that additions are being planned.
Retail space for lease will be constructed on either side of the existing Piggly Wiggly store.
“We believe there is a need for more retail space in our community,” said Tyson.
Tyson said he currently does not have anyone to occupy the new spaces.
The current 26,000 square foot Piggly Wiggly will be the anchor for the plaza.
The Piggly Wiggly opened in 2011 on U.S. Highway 84.
