Gambrell arrested on theft charges

A Blackshear woman has been arrested on several theft charges, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).

Amanda “Amy” Gambrell, 51, of Blackshear, was arrested Friday, March 27, and charged with seven counts of financial transaction card fraud, four counts of theft by taking, one count of forgery in the first degree, one count of deposit account fraud and one count of criminal attempt to commit theft. Gambrell is the owner of Ace Handyman Services.

The Blackshear Police Department requested the GBI to investigate complaints that Gambrell, the owner of Ace Handyman Services, was participating in fraudulent business activities. The request was made Wednesday, March 11 and the investigation led to Gambrell’s arrest.

Gambrell was booked into the Pierce County Jail.
