NAHUNTA – Tami Jean Palmer, of Nahunta, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at her residence after battling an extended illness.

She was born in Jesup to the late Jim A. Tootle and Ouida Purvis Tootle. She is also preceded in death by two sons , Stephen Wesley Landon and Charles Allen Miller; a stepdaughter Melissa Jo Palmer; a granddaughter Haley and a brother Allen Tootle.

Mrs. Flowers loved her flowers and gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her family. Her grandbabies were her whole world. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Survivors include her husband Tony “Chainsaw” Palmer, her daughter Jesica Walker (Josh) and her six grandchildren Fischer, Jaden, Palmer, Bonnie, Wesley and Charleigh; two sisters Jan McCollum and Karen Head; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

The family will be having a celebration of life service at Lulaton Baptist Church on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
