Pierce County High School (PCHS) student Sam Chesser was among the state champions crowned at the Georgia Student Technology Competition March 14 in McDonough. The son of Bo and Cristina Chesser, the PCHS junior won first place for the category of Video Production in the 11th/12th grade division, besting winners from 12 other regions in Georgia.

Chesser advanced after winning first place at the Okefenokee Techn ology Competition January 30 at South Georgia State College in Waycross. He was among 10 project winners from Pierce County who advanced to state and competed.

Over the past school year, Chesser edited pregame player introduction shows for volleyball and basketball games in the newly-refurbished PCHS Sports Complex.
