BRUNSWICK — Private School power Frederica Academy bested Pierce County here Thursday at the Brunswick Country Club in a dual match.
The Knights shot a fourover- par team score of 148. PCHS was 11 shots back with a 159 total.
PCHS was paced by Hardt Strickland’s the two-over-par score of 38. Bennett Puryear was a shot back carding a 39. Griffin Hull finished with a round of 40. Barrett Moore finished out the team score with a 42.
Justin Smith and C.J. Weathersby posted rounds of 44 each. Playing outside the top six spots, Will Higginson fired a round of 39. Beau Strickland shot 43 and Conner Dowling finished with a 48.
Frederica Academy’s Lawson Pickens was the low medalist with a neunder- par score of 35. The Knights also received an even-par score of 36, a 38 and a 39.
