Pierce County’s STAR student and teacher for the 2025-2026 school year were recognized by the Board of Education at its regular meeting Monday, March 9. STAR student Belle Sinclair is shown with her STAR teacher, Becky King. Sinclair scored a 1,390 out of a possible 1,600 score on the SAT. The STAR student is chosen annually based on academic excellence and attaining the highest SAT score among the senior class. Sinclair is the daughter of Chris and Amanda Sinclair. She selected King as her STAR teacher. King has been selected as STAR teacher four times during her career. Shown l-r are King, Sinclair and school superintendent Dara Bennett.
