The Pierce County High School (PCHS) Literary Team won first runner up at Region 3-AA Literary Competition in Appling County March 5.
First place winners included Mattie Lee (Girl’s Solo), JC Nimmer (Argumentative Essay), Paige Folette (Dramatic Interpretation), Zacch Lyons and Addison Folette (Comedic Duo Interpretation).
First place winners competed at state in Milledgeville March 21.
Second place winners included Mattie Lee, Paige Folette and McKenzie Barclift (Trio) and JC Nimmer, Zacch Lyons, Brandon Griffin and Bryce Taylor (Quartet), Addison Folette (Comedic Interpretation) and Emma Rusev (Literary Analysis Essay).
Third place winners included Riley Martinez (Domestic Extemporaneous Speaking) and Trinity Eason (International Extemporaneous Speaking).
