Satilla cleanup

The Satilla Riverkeeper recently was host for a river-wide cleanup in Brantley, Pierce, and Ware counties. Nine volunteers covered 11 sites, collecting 2,415 pounds of trash from in and around the waterway in one of the handful of cleanups held during the year. Two of the volunteers aiding the February effort were Elizabeth Pond and Samuel Pond with Satilla Riverkeeper Shannon Gregory (left). If your organization, church, or youth group would like to volunteer, contact Gregory at satillariverkeeper.org. The Satilla Riverkeeper is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect, restore and educate about the beautiful and ecologically important Satilla River.
