Refinery has Easter cookout, egg hunt
The Refinery, 522 Miles Still Road, will hold a Easter Celebration at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at the church.
The activities include a church cookout with hot dogs and all the side dishes as well as an Easter Egg hunt to follow lunch.
Remnant Church has block parties
Remnant Church will stage a Block Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at three locations — Monroe Park, Goodwill and Mary Street Park.
There will be music, food, bounce houses, face painting, games, community resource tables, as well as praise and prayer at the parks. There will be no activities for children at Goodwill.

Pearson churches join for Easter
The twin churches — Pearson Traditional Methodist Church and Historic Kirkland Church — invite guests for an Easter service at 11 a.m., Sunday, April 5 at Pearson Traditional Methodist Church, 54 Roberts Avenue East.
A catered meal in the social hall will follow the worship service, Brother Gary Griffin said. Attendees are welcome to bring desserts for the luncheon, but it’s not nesessary.
There will be an Easter egg hunt following the luncheon. There will be no Sunday School program at Pearson Traditional that day.
Antioch Baptist sets Family, Friends
Historic Antioch Baptist Church, Inc., 615 Knight Avenue will hold its annual Family and Friends service at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 17.
Theme for the program is: “Rooted in Faith, Grounded in Love.” Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church is the guest church and the pastor, the Rev. Jackie Hooper will deliver the message.

River of Life starts resource program
River of Life Church, 1439 Brunel Street, offers a community resource center from 10 a.m. to noon, the fourth Friday of each month.
The River Missions program will offer practical life skills, hot meals, clothing and more. Next session is March 27.

DC Downtown has food ministry
DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The ministry serves people from more than a dozen counties in southeast Georgia and north Florida.
Way of Cross EPC has food giveaway
Way of the Cross EPC holds a free food and clothing giveaway at 8 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at 512 Lee Avenue.
People should bring a bag or box for items. The first-come, first-served giveaway will next be held April 4.
Items are available from donations by Waycross Food Distributor, Southern Acre Farm, LLC and Charlie’s Chicken.
