Waycross Aglow Lighthouse President Rossie Eskew told worshipers attending the monthly meeting “God is on His throne.’’
Well-known Christian speaker Hope Martin of Blackshear verified that view as she stated concerning her year of critical health issues, “I will not die, but live and tell what God has done for me.’’
“My doubt, sin and critical health issues were lifted off me,’’ said Martin, a Blackshear resident. “We are His. We’ve made the agreement. Walk with God as we’re all called the body of Christ. I was told by my doctor, ‘Go and live your best life. This is because of the light that went into me — life. Because of God’s authority I walk. I am going forward.’’
Behold the Lamb staged Fri.-Sun.
The vivacious speaker told the March 14 audience, “We’re active, not watchers. Get out of your seat, your pew, get up and do what God says. He says He will give you authority. All have authority in their own lives, in God’s name. We need to use authority, we need to recognize who we are. We have His full authority, all the time.
“I was given negative health predictions, but then God started healing me. I was walking in the valley of the shadow of death, but God was there and told me where I was. I walked with God and He lifted me. Faith in God disarms one from fear.’’
Later in her testimony, Martin said, “God has granted us all of his love and grace. We walk in authority of God. Satan does not have dominion. You’re saved when you go to the altar and accept Christ.
“Walk in grace. Know who you are. You’re not a sinner but who you are in Christ. The enemy’s job is to distract.” Martin, a member of the praise team at Abundant Life Christian Center n Blackshear, then offered some scripture from the book of Romans, chapters 6: 1-6 and 8: 9-10. She said fear attracts trauma, but it’s overcome by faith. “I’ve walked heavy in fear,” she related. “Through my miracle, God intervened to reveal His glory. I was quite sick and saw doctors, had many Xrays. Then I went to church and got saved and healed.”

The speaker thanked her family, friends and doctors who helped her successfully go through what she described as “my story of miraculous heal-ings, answered prayers and ways the power of God has manifested His perfect will in my life.”
“It hasn’t always been easy, but definitely worth it,’’ she added.
Sharing the morning appearance with Martin were her pastor Abundant Life pastor the Rev. Mike Jones and his wife, Lorri Jones.
In addition to Martin’s address, pianist Melanie Hauner offered accompaniment for songs and presented encouragement written by Barry Bennett focusing on sickness and aging. Hauner said Bennett’s faith helped him gain a new perspective on life. She also read scripture from Second Corinthians and Romans. Appreciation also was was given to Jamie Odom for directing the visual portion of the program.
