TIFTON — Ware County’s Lady Gator linksters finished fourth here Thursday in the rain-delayed 15team Lady Blue Devil Invitational, hosted by Tift County at Spring Hill Country Club.
The Lady Gators shot a 273 team score March 19 to trail the host Lady Blue Devils’ score of 228. Lowndes “A” and Lowndes “B” were second and third with scores of 239 and 269.
Finishing behind Ware County were Lee County (274), Worth County (275), Houston County (275), Coffee (281), Veterans (288), Colquitt County (288), Thomas County Central (304) and Bainbridge (319). No team scores were posted for Lowndes (C), Jeff Davis and Berrien.
Coffee's Hannah Powell was low medalist in the field of 52 golfers posting a two-under-par score of 70. Tift County's Payne Lodge was a shot back at oneunder- par 71. Two others finished at even-par.
Anslee Kate Grantham led the Lady Gators with a round of 87 to finish 11th. Eevy Griffin, Lillie Livingston and Kate Thomas all followed with scores of 93 tying for 20th.
