Heron Hustle fundraiser draws large crowd of runners

NAHUNTA — Brantley County Schools System held its annual Heron Hustle 5K and Fun Run fundraiser Saturday as for its Special Education program.

Citizens across the county and a few from out of town participated in the event. Kendra McKeon was the Overall Top Female with Simon McKeon the Overall Top Male.

Libby Dodd was the Top Masters (40+) in the ladies’ division. Robert Millican was the Top Masters (40+) in the mens’ division.

In the girls’ 10U division, Camryn Lee was first, Rayland Justice placed second and Eliza Barber finished third.

In the boys’ 10U grouping, Zeb Edgerton placed first and was followed by Banner Rowell and Ander Ham.

Emily Herrin captured the girls’ 11-14 division. Jace Hunnicutt was the boys’ pace-setter, followed by Cason Anderson and Aiden Gilleon.

Klara Barnes led the girls’ 15-19 age group. She was followed by Jocelyn Pere-Barajas and Alaine Griffin.

Haze Evans was boys’ winner in the 15-19 division. He was followed by Brayden Middleton and Grant Middleton.

Jenna Chesser grabbed top honors in the womens’ 20-29 age group. Catlyn Raulerson was second with Grace Ann Carlock third.

The mens’ 20-29 division was won by Jeremy Ammons. He was followed by Caden Coblentz and Josh Davis.

Katlyn Riggins led the womens’ 30-39 age group. Following behind were Azia Wright and Kailee Rowell.

Nick Child won the mens’ 30-39 division. He was followed by David Le and Biff Lee.

The womens’ 40-49 grouping was won by April Florey. Finishing second was Kanna Horan-Ablya with third going to Katie Drury.

Corey Kemp captured the mens’ 40-49 division. Jon Morgan and Mitch Milton placed second and third respectively.

Tina Porter posted a first-place finish in the womens’ 50-59 age division. She was followed by Tamara Clark and Shemie Jacobs in second and third respectively.

Mike Scott beat out Ray Sikes for the top spot in the mens’ 50-59 age group.

Sissy Baxley top the field in the women’s 60+ age division. She was followed by Vickie Floyde and Kathrine Justice.

Gary Johns was the men’s winner as the lone participant in the 60+ age group.
