First Assembly sets rummage sale Waycross First Assembly, 1150 Darling Avenue, will hold its annual rummage sale Thursday-Saturday, March 19–21 inside the church’s social hall.

Times are 5-7 p.m., Thursday, and 8-11 a.m., Friday and Saturday. Visitors should park behind the sanctuary and enter through the annex building.

The sale is organized each year through a partnership between the church’s kids and youth ministries, who raise funds for missions projects. Proceeds from this year’s sale support the Convoy of Hope: Feed One Program, a global initiative dedicated to feeding children in some of the world’s most impoverished communities.

The sale typically includes furniture, home décor, toys, household items, appliances, and much more.

Behold the Lamb slated March 27-29 Behold the Lamb Passion Play will be staged Friday-Sunday, March 2729 at Manor Community Center, 4650 Manor-Millwood Road South.

Featuring a cast of 80, the production’s performances are 7 p.m. March 27 and 3 p.m. the following days. There is no admission charged, but a love offering will be collected.

Remnant Church has block parties Remnant Church will stage a Block Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at three locations — Monroe Park, Goodwill and Mary Street Park.

There will be music, food, bounce houses, face painting, games, community resource tables as well as praise and prayer at the parks. There will be no activities for children at Goodwill.

Charlie Giving Back sets food giveaway Charlie Giving Back community outreach will stage a food giveaway from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at E.E. Moore Park.

The first 300 will be served. Recipients need to bring boxes to carry away the items.

Greater St. Paul honors Jackson Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Pittman Street, continues its celebration of the third anniversary of Pastor Darren B. Jackson with special services.

Worship programs will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22.

Guest pastors and their churches participating in the weekday service will be the Rev. Dr. Terrence Lattimore (Judah Worship Center).

Directing Sunday’s services will be the Rev. Gerald Robinson (St. John Baptist) at 11 a.m. and the Rev. Tony Jackson (Magnolia Baptist, Hahira, Ga.) at 3 p.m.

Pearson churches join for Easter The twin churches — Pearson Traditional Methodist Church and Historic Kirkland Church — invite guests for an Easter service at 11 a.m., Sunday, April 5 at Pearson Traditional Methodist Church, 54 Roberts Avenue East.

A catered meal in the social hall will follow the worship service, Brother Gary Griffin said. Attendees are welcome to bring desserts for the luncheon, but it’s not nesessary.

There will be an Easter egg hunt following the luncheon.
