Spring is blooming in downtown Blackshear, and local businesses invite the community to celebrate the season at the 2026 Blackshear Spring Market tomorrow, Thursday, March 19. Organizers describe it as an evening of shopping, prizes and hometown charm.
Hosted by the Main Street/Better Hometown Blackshear Program, the spring market highlights the importance of supporting local business while also creating a fun and festive experience for local residents and visitors alike.
Downtown merchants and members of the Better Hometown program will have a special Power Hour of shopping from 5–8 p.m., encouraging guests to explore the unique shops, discover seasonal products and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere that makes downtown Blackshear special.
To add a little extra excitement, shoppers can also take part in a special Golden Flower Hunt throughout participating stores. Hidden inside downtown shops will be three “Golden Flowers.” Lucky shoppers who discover one will win a prize, making every stop along the way a chance to win.
“This inaugural Spring Market is designed to bring people together and highlight the variety of local businesses that help our special downtown thrive,” said Main Street manager Bethany Strickland. “When you shop local, you’re investing right back into the community.”
With warm spring weather in the forecast, local merchants ready to assist customers and the chance to uncover a golden prize, the 2026 Blackshear Spring Market promises an evening of community spirit and small-town charm.
Residents are encouraged to gather friends, stroll through downtown and plant the seeds of possibility by shopping locally.
