Pierce Countians came together Wednesday morning to join in AgSouth’s 2nd Annual Blessing of the Crops held at Alabaha Free Will Baptist Church.

AgSouth Crop Insurance Agent and Patterson resident, Darcy Davis, welcomed the crowd.

“It means so much to be able to bring this to our community,” said Davis. “As we all know, agriculture is a big part of all of our surrounding areas, and it’s a long-standing tradition in this community, so I appreciate everybody coming out and helping us do the Blessing of the Crops.”

Pastor Jason Long led the group in prayer over the labor of farmers, pleasant weather and proper nutrients for the crops.

After the blessing, attendees enjoyed a breakfast spread and fellowship.
