Cheryl Riggins King

HOBOKEN — Cheryl Riggins King, 78 of Hoboken, died Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026 at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.

Mrs. King was born in Waycross to the late William James Riggins, Sr. and Eunice Clotielde Burkett Riggins. She made Hoboken her home for most of her life.

Mrs. King worked many years for Dr. Cleve Thompson’s office and loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. King is preceded in death by a son, John Wesley King; a brother, William James Riggins, Jr.; a sister, Susan Riggins Carter; and an aunt, Elese Burkett.

Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Harold King of Hoboken; two children, Timothy King and wife, Rebecca, of Hoboken and Joy King (Martin) of

King

Hoboken; six grandchildren, Ashlee Johnson of Waynesville, Maggie Arnold husband Harold of Millwood, Aubrey King and wife Bayleigh of Hillard, Fla., Joseph King ad wife Billie Ann of Hoboken, Allie Harris and husband Josh of Hillard, Fla., Jacob Johnson and wife Alyssa of Hortense, and Zeb King of Hillard, Fla.; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service was held Friday, March 13, 2026 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed in High Bluff Cemetery.
