NAHUNTA — Julie Kathryn Davis Smith, 84 of Nahunta, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2026 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness.
Born in Screven, Mrs. Smith’s parents were James “Jim” Davis and Kathleen “ Anders on” Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Smith; and two brothers, Donald Davis and Quinton Davis; and a sister, Reba Taylor.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and listening to music.
Survivors include her two sons and a daughterin- law, Richard Hagan and Scott Smith (Tina) all of Nahunta; a sister, Diane Stephens of Jesup; a sister- in-law, Betty Davis of Jesup; and also several cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
A graveside service was held Tuesday morning, March 17, 2026 at Smyrna Cemetery.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
