UNDATED — Natalee Paige Mixon, 34, passed away Friday morning, March 13, 2026, at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, following a brief illness.
Born in Waycross, Miss Mixon was a lifelong resident of Brantley County.
She had a remarkable ability to recognize those with sinc ere hearts and connect with them in a way that made everyone around her feel seen and loved. Her personality was strong, joyful, and unmistakably her own.
Miss Mixon graduated from Ware County High School in 2013. She attended Deenwood Baptist Church and formerly attended Indian Mound Baptist Church.
Miss Mixon was a wellknown and unforgettable presence in her community. Some of her favorite activities included playing softball with the Miracle League of the Okefenokee, playing basketball with Club Wonder, and participating with the Ware County Truck Club, where she formed many friendships and shared countless joyful moments.
She also had strong opinions about her favorites — Jason Crabb is the best singer, and Denny Hamlin #11 is the best NASCAR driver.
Miss Mixon was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bruce and Mary Mixon; and her maternal grandparents, J. Walter and Jesse “Juanita” Lee.
She is survived by her parents, Danny and Sonya Mixon; her brother and sister-in-law, Ty and Erin Mixon of Brunswick; her aunts and uncles, Ronda and Matt Gaskins of Pinehurst, N.C., John and Pam Lee of Waycross, Sandra Lee of Waycross, and Kathleen Cox of Waycross; along with numerous cousins and other relatives who loved her dearly.
Miss Mixon’s life leaves behind countless memories of laughter, determination, honesty, and the special way she reminded everyone to appreciate the simple joys of life.

A funeral service will be held today, (Wednesday,
Mixon
March 18, 2026) at 4 p.m., at Deenwood Baptist Church.
