Ronnie Williams, 62, of Stockbridge, passed away Monday, March 2, 2026 while in South Carolina.
He was born May 2, 1963 in Blackshear to the late Hubert Williams and late Mary Wilson-Johnson. He attended Waycross High School. He enjoyed a long career in the trucking business as a truck driver for 30+ years. He drove trucks for several companies before starting his own company, Ronnie’s Trucking, LLC in 2015.
He was kind, friendly and full of laughter. He had a heart that was as big as his smile. He enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with his friends and family, especially his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Loretta Williams-Jones; a special cousin, Jewel Glover and step-brother, Scott Edward Howard.
Survivors include his two sons, Ronnie Green (Cherise), Chattanooga, TN, Tamias (Janie) Williams, Houston, TX; one daughter, Teyonna (Cedric) Miles, Waycross; step-father, Jimmy Johnson, Stockbridge; stepmother, Izella Williams, Blackshear; eight grandchildren, Kymiah Miles, Kamari Miles, Kerian Miles, Morgen Coffie, Karmyn Coffie and AhZion Smith, all of Waycross and Taelei Williams and Tamias Williams, II, both of Houston, TX; one sister, Dr. Anita (Tyrone, Sr.) Harris, Blackshear; one brother: Elder Calvin (Tonia) Williams, Rincon; step-brother, Gary (Ingrid) Howard, Huntsville, AL, a sister-in-law, Wanda Howard, Blackshear; four uncles, Joseph Williams, Blackshear, Cozell Williams, Alma, Nathaniel (Betty) and John (Dean) Williams; three aunts, Gladys and Debra Williams, both of Douglas and Wendice Whitaker, Woodstock; two special cousins, Melissa Glover-Bell and Amanda Glover-Scott, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, from the chapel of Rainge Memorial Chapel.
