BRUNSWICK — Ann Davis, 79 of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026 at her residence.

Mrs. Davis was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1963, she moved to Brunswick working for many years at Walmart in Safety Complia nce being known by her customers as “Safety Ann”.

Mrs. Davis was a proud sponsor of St. Jude’s Hospital, Amity House, Safe Harbor and Senior Citizen Center. She was a very sweet, kindhearted, passionate and intelligent person with a great sense of humor. Mrs. Davis was always thoughtful and willing to lend a helping hand or listen to those in need and never met a stranger.

She truly had a heart of gold. Her compassion for people was shown through lots of things such as passing out angels, coffee mugs, blankets, etc. One of her favorite things to do was to send friends emojis and gifs “just to remind them of how special they were to her.”

Mrs. Davis loved shopping and would often refer to herself as “your favorite annoying customer,” fellowship time and was always up for going out to eat with friends.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Davis; and daughter ,Jackie Porter.

Survivors include two daughters, M. Ann Davis and Julie; a sister Bonnie Sue; grandchildren Katie McCarthy, April Thompson (Joshua), Heather Barfield and Robert Everhart; great grandchildren Elyjah Thompson, Hayden and Ellie Barfield; the adopted family she held dear to her heart includes Janice “Brick” Mercer, Charmaine Thomas, Latasha Rozier, Keyanna, Benjamin and Nayanna Delegal, Krishten LeCount, Seth, Ryder and Ryleigh Mercer; and also her very special friends Jocelyne Galdamez, Larry and Eve Moody, Susan and Charley Crumpton, Christina Basham, Jeff Emory, Vicki Kirkland, Keila Wood, Dani Strickland, Derek and Diana Cole, Evelyn and Darrell Davis, Bobby and Sissy McCarthy, Austin and Kevin McCarthy, Keith Walker and Sharon and Al Young.

Pallbearers include Elyjah Thompson, Seth Mercer, Joshua Thompson, Benjamin Delegal, Bobby McCarthy and Derek Cole.

A graveside service was held Friday, March 6, 2026 at Satilla Cemetery.

Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
