
Taylor
WAYCROSS – Mr. Denny Larry Taylor, 80, passed away Saturday night, March 7, 2026, at Hospice House Satilla following an extended illness.
He was born February 27, 1946, in Coffee County to the late Robert Taylor and Gussie Sutherland Tayl or. Taylor served for many years in the Georgia National Guard and was a devoted member of Waycross Holiness Baptist Church.
A successful businessman, he was the owner and operator of Taylor Repos. Earlier in his career, he was employed by Guerdon Manufacturing, where he served as a production manager. Taylor enjoyed spending time on the water fishing, waterskiing in his younger years, and riding his buggy. Above all, he loved his family dearly and treasured his “girls” more than anything.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by a son, Stacey Lamar Taylor; and by his siblings, Linda Gail Walker, Ed Henry Taylor, and Robert McKinley Taylor.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Sandra Harper Taylor of Waycross; his son, Larry Wade Taylor; granddaughters, Kristina Mc-Quaig (Thomas), Brittney Summerall (Jake), and Jade Liles (Hagen); greatgrandchildren, Riggs, Layne, Baylee, Colten, and Greyson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 11) in the chapel of Music Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
