Ware County High School will be the host to the upcoming 20252026 GHSA State Riflery Playoffs, on Saturday, March 14.

The championship will be held at the Ware County Shooting Complex, beginning at 8 a.m. There will be 17 teams participating, along with seven individuals.

Currently, the Gators are sitting with the second highest individual match score of 1164, with 70 center shots.

“We have had a good year so far,” said coach Caycee Sills. “I’m very proud of all the shooters on our team.”

She continued, “I would like to acknowledge the incredible support we have had from the School System, all of our shooter’s parents, and definitely the support of our Waycross/ Ware county community. Without their support the new highschool range would still just be a dream.”

Speaking to next season, Sills commented, “As far as next year's team, we are looking really good with all but one shooter returning.”
