ST. SIMONS ISLAND — Sen. Mike Hodges (R–District 3) officially qualified last week to seek re-election to a third term in the Georgia State Senate.
“It’s been an honor to serve the good people of District 3 as their State Senator for the last three and a half years,” said Hodges. “It is with humility that I qualified today to run for re-election to a third term. If re-elected, I promise to represent the interests of Glynn, Camden, Brantley, Charlton, McIntosh, and Ware counties to the very best of my ability in the Georgia Legislature.”
Currently serving in his fourth legislative session, Hodges holds several key leadership roles in the Senate. He serves as Chairman of the Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee and Vice Chairman of the Banking Committee.
He is also a member of the Economic Development and Tourism, Health and Human Services, Finance, and Insurance and Labor committees.
In his first term, Hodges was appointed as one of two Senate Floor Leaders for Gov. Brian Kemp, where he helped guide key legislation through the Senate chamber.
