Riverkeeper clean-up nets two tons of trash

The Satilla Riverkeeper hosted a river-wide clean up on Saturday, February 21 from 9 to 11 a.m. in Brantley, Pierce and Ware Counties. Nine volunteers covered 11 sites, collecting 2,415 lbs of trash. The Riverkeeper hosts several community volunteer cleanups throughout the year. If your organization, church or youth group would like to volunteer, contact the Riverkeeper at satillariverkeeper.org. The Satilla Riverkeeper is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect, restore and educate about the beautiful and ecologically important Satilla River.
