Robert Earl Pittman, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, following an extended illness.
He was born in Homerville to the late J.W. Pittman and Mary Alma Thomas Pittman Yarbrough. He was formerly employed with Guerdon Manufactured Homes. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Pittman and Jesse Pittman.
Survivors include three children, Tina Cady (John) and Robert Earl Pittman I, all of Waycross, and Melissa Waters, Blackshear; a special daughter, Regina Powell of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Tyler Barnes (C.J.), Amelia Pittman, Payton Cady, Gauge Cady and A.J. Cady; four great-grandchildren, Abbygail Pittman, Emma Grace White, Nixon White and Dixon Barnes; three siblings, Anita Music, Waycross, Sherry Griggs (Tim), Douglas and Terry Yarbrough (Joanna), Blackshear and special friend, Gwen Jones.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, March 6, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 6, from the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
